- VIRAT KOHLI:

As captain Virat scored three Double Centuries last year with an average of over 75 in the entire year, along with grabbing No.3 Ranking in Test Batsmen Rankings. Also India Regained its No.1 test ranking as a team under Virat Last year. In Limited overs format also Virat had a similar impact with 4 hundreds and 5 Fifties. Making him the captain of ICC ODI team of the year. In IPL he was named as a player of the tournament at the end of the season. So, a year of pure dominance and Class for Virat, it wouldn’t be wrong to call it a Virat 2K16.
- R ASHWIN:
The name says it all. We don’t really need to talk much about R Ashwin. He has being growing at a much faster rate not only as a spinner but also as a Batsmen. R Ashwin is the highest wicket taker in tests for India in 2016. He also ranks as a No.1 all rounder in ICC Test all rounder rankings. And also the No.1 test bowler in the world. Hats Off!! The Carrom Balls the Doosra, and Off Breaks are unanswered by the batsmen’s yet. He is the only player to be named as a ICC Player of the year and lift the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. Ashwin is also blessed with a second baby girl this year. In short, R Ashwin Nailed 2016!!
- PV SINDHU:
Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, this hyderabadi badminton player is the first badminton player to get a Silver Medal at Olympics 2016. Coming from a sports background and with the likes of coach Pullela Gopichand PV Sindhu has already created wonders at just a mere age of 21. In 2016, she also won the Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold women’s single after beating Kirsty Gilmour of Scotland in the Finals. She is also awarded with Padma Shri and Arjuna Award in her Field. With her sheer passion for Badminton and her hardworking nature, she has turned out to be one of the most emerging talents in the country.
- SAKSHI MALIK:
The Rohtak girl, won the bronze medal in 58 kg category in 2016 Rio Olympics. She is the first women to win a medal in Wrestling for India. In Olympics she won her round of 32 against Sweden’s Johanna Mattsson and 16 round against Mariana Cherdivara to enter into Quater final and finally losing to Veleria Koblova in the Quarters. Sakshi began her International Career by Winning the Junior’s World Championship bronze in 58 kg category. Thereafter, there was no looking back for this freestyle wrestler who went on and created history and making the nation proud.
- DIPA KARMAKAR:
She is Special, Special in terms of talents and special in terms of her Achievements. The 23 year old Agartala girl has achieved a lot to talk about her all over the world. She is the only Artistic Gymnast to represent in Rio Olympics from India. She is the first to do so in 52 years. She finished 4th in the final event, missing out on Bronze Medal, but as we say, sometimes you lose the battle but win the war. Same was the case with this Gymnast. She gained fame after winning bronze medal in 2014 Common Wealth Games. She is well supported by GoSports Foundation of Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Program. She might have missed the medal but she has definitely made the Nation Proud.
