Being Tubelight

Irony died a thousand deaths when “Being Human”, who led some souls sleeping on footpath to “RIP(Rest in Peace) while cruising in Toyota Landcruiser, talked about peace with Pakistan. Sermonizing about peace on eve of film promotions is as easy as launching “Being Human” bicycles to avoid accidents. Being Human bicycles were launched in the price range of 40-50,000 Indian Rupees. Who was behind the pricing strategy? Some freak with an IQ of a flickering tubelight ?

No one can deny the merits of peaceful co-existence with neighborly states but while dealing with Pakistan, a rogue nation, who does not bother about war conventions and agreements, talks and terror cannot go on. There have been countless ceasefire violations and unprovoked firing from Pakistan causing injury and damage to our security forces. Pakistan’s terror handles have unleashed attacks on CRPF men and some of them attained martyrdom. It’s highly irresponsible of Salman and his brother Sohail to lecture about peace and talks with Pakistan. They cannot be selective about what’s happening at the border and its ramifications.

The army has foiled infiltration attempts and is on high alert given the history of bloodshed during month of Ramadan. North and South Kashmir is worst affected by local terrorists. Locals have patronized Hizbul terrorists openly and stone pelting during anti-terror operations is a well-known fact. If at all, Khan brothers wanted to talk about peace, they should have urged people to stand and support the army in ensuring peace during the holy month of Ramadan. Amarnath Yatra is another big event which has always been on hit list of terrorists. Brotherhood and peace, in these turbulent times, will restore normalcy in the state. Waxing eloquent about peace talks with Pakistan is a futile exercise.

It’s time Salman gets out of “Tubelight” mode and exhibits some maturity. Please do not pull an improvised “Gurmehar Act” on us. Spare us the horror. Thanks in advance!!
