The Lesser Gods: Teachers Who Corrupt The Mind

Where are we heading? time to take think and act.

Robert Frost once said , “I am not a teacher, I am an awakener”. Teachers have been held in high esteem even higher than Gods . They shape our thoughts and hone our ability to reason and critique. Unfortunately, there are some who have discredited the profession of teaching by sowing seeds of hatred towards our own country in young and bright minds of Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Of late, JNU has become hot bed of teachers who have started anti India rant and have defamed integrity of  the national army. Nivedita Menon, professor at the School of International Studies JNU, said Kashmir is not an integral part of India at Jai Narain Vyas University of Jodhpur.

How she gets to decide the territorial integrity of the country? She is not the only one. JNU teachers have always taken a pro Naxal stand and discredited army and police forces when they have cracked down on Naxals.

JNU provides academic courses to National Defence Academy. Ex- service army men from 54th  NDA who were commissioned into armed forces have threatened to return their degrees as a mark of protest against repeated anti national stand taken by JNU faculty.

National Defence Academy needs to severe its ties from JNU. HRD Ministry may exercise discretion. University of Pune may be chosen. It’s imperative to segregate institutions of army from faculty of JNU which has potential to corrupt brave minds.

JNU has undoubtedly earned a well deserved sobriquet of being a left wing institution. As with all left wingers, they openly talk of exploiting the various diversities in the country which embellishes breaking India forces.Nivedita Menon, in this case, has long been known for speaking against the constitution of the country.
It is unfortunate that military officers passing out of our training academies get their degrees from an institution which is becoming anemic to the unity of this country. It is high time this was changed by the powers that be. Hope Mr Parrikar and Mr Prakash Javdekar do something about it.
