The Prime Minister of India,
7, Race Course Road,
Sub: Supporting the cause of Ms. Sahana Kumari, Indian hope at #RioOlympics2016 in High Jump Event
Hon’ble Shr. Narendra Modi ji,
I would like to bring to your notice about Ms. Sahana Kumari, (High Jump athlete from Karnataka) Only Indian Women Athlete to represent Indian in any of Olympics for High Jump event at London Olympics 2012 and also reached Finals of other International high Jump event. Most recently she scored Gold at South Asian games 2016. Currently, she is preparing herself for Rio Olympics 2016. I am attaching herewith the list of records and achievements of Ms. Sahana kumari for your kind perusal.
For this dream, which is not only of hers but of all Indians to have an Indian athlete at medal Podium in athletics at Olympics, Ms. Sahana Kumari requires international training at Ukraine from her previous coach – Mr. Nikintin Evengy (Internationally acclaimed coach from Ukraine) under whose guidance Ms. Kumari achieved her career best record of 1.92 mts, which also is Indian National record in High Jump; also reached up to finals of Common Wealth games 2014 and Asian Games 2014. Ms. kumari is confident that, if she receives 3 months training under her coach at Ukraine or coach is invited to India, she can improve her mark and thus qualify to represent India again in Rio Olympics 2016.
I come with a request for assistance in soliciting a support to sponsor her travel, stay and participating in the Olympic 2016 qualifier event gets sponsored; along with visa approval; India gets better chance of not only getting represented at Olympics 2016 but also possibility of reaching medal podium.
Break up of financial assistance requirement
– Coach fees – Rs6.0 Lakhs (Rs2.0 Lakhs) per month

It is very important to nurture the potential sportsperson in best possible environment, to expect, best possible harvest. Here in India we have tradition of felicitation of achievers and medal winners (which is good motivation) but it is even more imperative that potential is been given right push where he/she can convert opportunity into medal.
With this background, I approach you to assist in soliciting the support for India’s hope at Olympics 2016. During 2012 for her first Olympics stint, and also first for any Indian athlete in High Jump, even then she wanted support, which was duly provided by social media not only financially but even otherwise, through EkAurPrayaas platform. Details on other activities (like supporting Asom Riot victims, Supporting vitims of #MaharashtraDrought) of Ek Aur Prayaas at – www.ekaurprayaas.org
Here, Ek Aur Prayaas, didn’t create any interface for transfer of money, but directly ensured transfer of money from donor to athlete’s bank a/c, by publishing her account; Which led to many good individuals support the citizen crowd funding for sports. The same was widely covered by media.
I am looking forward to your positive assistance and guidance to keep the sport spirit alive among us, Indians.
